Cultivated thRough HEALING ARTS & Psychedelic TheRapies.
Ataraxy (add-uh-rack-see) is a state of serene calmness.
At Ataraxy Healing Arts, I support the integration of trauma, identity, and nervous system experience through somatic, talk-based psychotherapy, integrative healing arts, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for qualifying clients.
My work centers on how trauma—particularly sexual, relational, and developmental trauma—can shape the nervous system and contribute to body-based distress, including eating disorders, OCD patterns, anxiety, and other forms of embodied dysregulation.
I use a collaborative, individualized approach that may include somatic practices, mindfulness, meditation, creative expression, and other embodied tools to support regulation, insight, and integration.

Integrative psychotherapy at the intersection of trauma, identity, and the nervous system.

SPECiAltiEs & ExpeRtise
A mind-body approach to trauma, identity, and nervous system healing.
Many clients seek support for overlapping experiences of trauma, eating disorders or body image distress, OCD and anxiety patterns, neurodivergence, and identity-related stress, all of which are understood through a mind-body, trauma-informed lens.
The focus is on increasing regulation, insight, and integration—supporting a more grounded and cohesive sense of self over time.
My ideal clients are ready to thrive and try new approaches to life and relationships regardless of the challenges they face.

integRative THERAPY mOdalities
Trauma-Informed Counseling
Thoughtful, trauma-informed care that honors the impact of distressing experiences while supporting healing at your own pace. Using evidence-based practices, we’ll cultivate safety, resilience, and meaningful mind-body recovery.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy is an integrative approach that brings attention to the body as a pathway for emotional healing. By gently reconnecting with physical sensations, we support nervous system regulation, deepen self-awareness, and foster a greater sense of safety and empowerment.
LGBTQIA+ Counseling
LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy grounded in shared understanding, offered by a queer clinician with experience including gender-affirming and trans-informed care. With less explaining and more attunement built in, we’ll explore identity, relationships, and healing in a space that centers authenticity, resilience, and queer joy.
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
KAP blends the therapeutic use of ketamine with integrative psychotherapy to support shifts in perspective, emotional processing, and relief from treatment-resistant conditions. Offered with in-home concierge and online options, this service emphasizes safety, preparation, and thoughtful integration to help translate insight into lasting change.
Psychedelic Integration Therapy
Supportive guidance for making sense of and integrating psychedelic experiences within a thoughtful, harm-reduction framework. Together, we’ll explore preparation, meaning-making, and ongoing integration—helping you translate insight into grounded, sustainable change.

About ME
My name is Jillian Loyas-Stryker, MA, LAC, R-DMT (she/her). I’m a queer-identifying, neurodivergent (ADHD), somatic trauma therapist and multidisciplinary creative, specializing in integrative, psychedelic-informed, and body-based approaches to healing.
Before becoming a therapist, my path moved through many creative and professional spaces—including dance and choreography, event production, marketing and design, photography, and culinary arts. After years of fast-paced, travel-heavy life while NYC and LA-based, I returned to New Jersey during a period of grief, loss, and major life transition. That chapter—alongside my own PTSD recovery and the cultural moment of the #MeToo movement—became the catalyst for this work.
My approach is deeply informed by lived experience. During my own healing process, I discovered the transformative power of the body—particularly through improvisational movement and authentic expression—as a way to process trauma and reconnect with self. Combined with talk therapy, mindfulness, music, and supportive relationships, this embodied path became foundational to my recovery and continues to shape how I work with clients today.
What began as a question of “what next?” evolved into a clear “yes, and.” I found my way to dance/movement therapy—bringing together creativity and clinical care into a practice that honors both expression and evidence-based treatment.
In addition to clinical work, I’ve facilitated workshops, classes, and retreats, and remain committed to social justice, including LGBTQIA+ rights, gender-affirming care, anti-racism, and anti-diet culture. I believe deeply in the healing power of the arts, community, and authentic self-expression.
Outside of sessions, you’ll likely find me enjoying beach life in Asbury Park, NJ—walking the shore, biking along the boardwalk, catching live music, or hunting for vinyl, vintage finds, and great food. I’m always dancing somewhere, creating something, or laughing loudly with people I love.
I believe we are all made up of many parts and lived experiences. I bring mine into this work with openness, curiosity, and respect—creating space for you to do the same.
